Holiday Island

Approximately 700m in length and 140m wide, the resort is located in the Southern
tip of Ari Atoll, just 97km from Male’ International Air port which can be reached
in just 35 minutes by seaplane and two and half hours by speed boat.

The design for Holiday Island reveals groups of low-rise rectangular-shaped individual
bungalows joined by covered walkways. The main complex is surrounded by landscaped
gardens amidst natural tropical vegetation and crystal clear sea, thus offering
the visitor an enchanting view of undulating greens interspersed with azure sea.
The local name for Holiday Island is “Dhiffushi” meaning “long uninhabited island”
in the local Dhivehi language.

Rooms

All the 142 deluxe rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning, private
bath with hot and cold water, bath tub, bidet, hair dryer, ceiling fan, telephones
in the room and bathroom, mini bar, and color television with cable network plus
round the clock news via satellite. The hotel has 220V-240V A/C 50Hz in all sockets
inside your room.

Souvenir shop

The shops are located near the lobby to meet the needs of all guests. This includes
the souvenir, jewellery and photo shops. They sell a large variety of souvenir items,
post cards and stamps.

Food outlets

The main restaurant features buffet-style with western and oriental cuisine.

The coffee shop serves varieties of a la’ carte meals and drinks with a 24 hrs room
service. In addition, there are lobster parties, seafood dinners and BBQ of fresh
fish.

The main bar is open round-the-clock with entertainment of live band and local cultural
shows. There is also the interesting beach bar located in an ideal setting to enjoy
the sunset.

Land based sports

Billiard/snooker, table tennis, badminton and gymnasium are some of the land based
sports available on the resort. In addition beach volley tournaments are organized
with the guests and the staff of the resort. The tennis court can offer service
even at night with flood lights.
