Maaniya mas Thila

Located inside the atoll mainly mild currents with calm surface condition, makes the thila ideal for novice divers. The oval shaped thila is around 50 long peaks at 6m and slopes to around 35m. The site is full of a variety of juveniles, including yellow boxfish, angelfish and sweet lips, you may spot tiny nudibreanches. Maaniya mas thila is famous for spotting stonefish, scorpionfish, and one of the rear fishes frogfish. Eagle rays, white tip reef shark and turtles are often spotted around the site. The reef top makes an excellent safety stop with a variety of parrotfish, wrasses and often juvenile white tip reef sharks shalter under the coral blocks. |
